Leading Manufacturing Company, Cost Accountant, County Armagh

Your new company
Our client is a leading food manufacturing company. You will join an established finance team in a newly created role as Cost Accountant to support business growth, manage costs and add value to the financial management of the company.
This is a fantastic role where you will have the opportunity to business partner with the senior leadership team to maximise profitability.
Your new role

  • Manage product costings within the business
  • Business partner with senior stakeholders including NPD, Commercial and Operations
  • Manage standard cost roll-ups and impact on stock valuation
  • Manage master data within the recipe system and manufacturing system ensuring costs and prices are accurate
  • Reporting weekly on variances, including PPV, PV's and Labour
  • Supporting the post launch review process
  • Supporting the Head of Finance with analysis to report on profitability
  • Supporting finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Carry out any other administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the department
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably required
  • Contribute to the development of a culture of integrity, collaboration 'do the right thing' approach in all interactions.
  • Ensure Food Safety compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements to remain audit-ready at all times
  • What you'll need to succeed
  • A qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA)
  • Proven track record in cost accounting, standard costing and variance analysis
  • Experience with recipe management systems and ERP
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent Attention to detail
  • 3-5 years' experience in FMCG
