Corrugated Packaging Operations Manager

We are on the search for a natural leader to manage a significant corrugated packaging operation in the South East. Our client is a customised packaging solutions provider looking for an Operations Manager to enhance, control, and execute production processes to ensure smooth, efficient and compliant operational functioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead production teams in achieving productivity, safety, quality, service and financial objectives, and communicate goals clearly to supervisors, team leaders and operatives.
• Balance meeting customer needs with optimising operational effectiveness across the site.
• Hold responsibility for overall site operations, driving process improvement initiatives and acting as the main point of contact for day to day issues.
• Focus on optimising production output through effective organisation, strong leadership, coordination and resource management; pursue continual improvements in machine productivity and efficiency, reduce waste, assure product quality and exceed customer service levels.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience within the corrugated packaging industry, with strong knowledge of manufacturing standards.
• Strong leadership skills and an innovative thinker capable of driving significant change and growth.
• Lean manufacturing experience would be a distinct advantage.
• Confident in working in a diverse environment.
