Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Syndicated / Corporate Loan Operations professional to join a leading UAE bank's Corporate Banking Operations team in London. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex corporate and syndicated lending transactions, including facility administration, loan servicing, and coordination with multiple stakeholders across global markets.

This role requires strong technical expertise in syndicated loans, the ability to operate independently, and experience within a UK bank or large international financial institution.

Key Responsibilities Corporate & Syndicated Loan Processing

• Manage the full lifecycle of corporate and syndicated loans from deal setup through settlement and closure
• Process loan transactions, including booking, drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, prepayments, and settlements
• Administer syndicated facilities, performing Loan Agency / Facility Agent duties where applicable
• Handle risk participation transactions and secondary market activities

Interest, Fees & Financial Calculations

• Calculate and process interest, principal, and fees (commitment, agency, participation)
• Manage rate resets using benchmark rates such as SOFR, SONIA, or EURIBOR
• Ensure accurate payment processing in line with facility agreements

Documentation & Compliance

• Review and interpret credit agreements, facility documentation, amendments, and covenants
• Ensure transactions are processed in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirementsMaintain audit-ready documentation and controls

Stakeholder & Agency Coordination

• Coordinate with borrowers, lenders, facility agents, and internal teams
• Manage communications and notices (payment notices, rate set notices, utilisation notices)
• Support covenant monitoring and reporting activities

Risk & Control

• Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with loan processing
• Resolve reconciliation breaks and discrepancies promptly
• Ensure transaction accuracy and adherence to cut-off times

Systems & Reporting

• Input and maintain transactions in loan servicing platforms (e.g., Loan IQ, ACBS, AFS Vision)
• Support SWIFT payment processes related to loan settlements
• Produce management information and operational reports as required

Required Experience

• Strong experience in Corporate Loan Operations covering the full loan lifecycle
• Hands on exposure to Syndicated Loans and Loan Agency functions
• Experience handling Risk Participation transactions
• Background within a UK bank or large international financial institution
• Proven ability to manage syndicated loan transactions independently with minimal supervision
