What you'll do

  • Collaborate with Partners and Directors to deliver technically robust tax advisory services on complex projects for a varied client base.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their businesses deeply and identifying opportunities to provide value-added tax solutions.
  • Manage UK and cross-border teams on advisory assignments, coordinating with specialists, overseas member firms, and external advisers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee aspects of team operations including resource allocation, performance monitoring, and the coaching and development of junior colleagues.
  • Actively participate in business development activities alongside senior leaders to identify new opportunities with existing clients and prospects.
  • Ensure engagement quality by managing risk processes diligently and overseeing client financials to maintain high standards of service delivery.
  • Serve as a role model for organisational values by promoting an inclusive culture and supporting the professional growth of others.
  • Critically analyse input from various stakeholders to challenge assumptions constructively and deliver insightful recommendations to clients.
  • Support clients through business reorganisations, jurisdictional entry strategies, refinancing initiatives, cash repatriation planning, interest deductibility issues, and global fiscal change impacts such as BEPS Pillar 2.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes by sharing knowledge and best practices within the team.

What you bring

  • Hold a recognised qualification such as CTA or ACA / CA (or equivalent), demonstrating advanced technical proficiency in corporate taxation.
  • Possess extensive experience in UK corporation tax with a broad awareness of related tax areas and accounting principles relevant to advisory work.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds while fostering collaborative teamwork internally.
  • Demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication abilities that allow you to convey complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Showcase strong analytical thinking combined with commercial acumen when resolving intricate issues or providing strategic advice.
  • Display proven project management capabilities including effective multi-tasking across numerous clients, projects, and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
  • Bring sound judgement in identifying potential risks early on while knowing when it is appropriate to escalate matters or seek additional input from others.
  • Reveal genuine motivation for developing junior talent through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing within the team setting.
