Job Description

A Top 20 Tax & Accountancy Firm is recruiting for a Corporate Tax Associate Director or Director based in Reading.

This role is suited to a proactive and collaborative tax professional who is confident working closely with senior leadership to deliver high-quality client service. You will play a key role in strengthening client relationships, contributing to strategic growth, and developing your leadership capability.

You will be encouraged to think commercially and strategically, with responsibility for growing your client portfolio and enhancing your professional profile for the benefit of both your career and the wider organisation.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Work proactively and collaboratively with senior colleagues to deliver effective, high-quality client solutions
  • Contribute to the strategic development and growth of the corporate tax portfolio
  • Manage the successful delivery of commercially focused and technically robust advisory and compliance services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Support the development of the wider client portfolio in partnership with senior leadership
  • Lead, support, and develop team members
Candidate ProfileExperience and Expertise
  • Strong experience managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients across advisory and compliance work
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, commercially viable tax advice
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining long-term client relationships
  • Experience identifying, securing, and developing new business opportunities
  • People management and team leadership experience
Qualifications
  • CTA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification
