Corporate Tax Associate Director

Overview

Grant Thornton is a global professional services firm that provides audit, tax and advisory services. We support a diverse range of organisations, including universities, social housing groups, charities, mutual traders and local authorities. Our tax team focuses on real estate and public sector client work, delivering tax structuring, compliance, and due diligence advice.

Responsibilities

• Advise a broad range of public sector clients on compliance and advisory tax issues.
• Lead client meetings, confidently responding to queries and delivering high quality tax analysis.
• Drive the delivery of client work, ensuring correct skill utilisation across the tax teams.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, supporting their career progression and work quality.
• Provide innovative, proactive solutions to client tax challenges and cross sell wider firm services.
• Play an active role in business development: pitching, proposals and market presence to grow the practice.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent qualification.
• UK corporate tax experience, ideally in real estate or public sector contexts.
• Experience supervising junior staff and coaching professional growth.
• Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and real estate/policy matters.
• Demonstrated business development experience within a professional services environment.
• Proven ability to manage a large portfolio of tax clients.
