The Opportunity

Our client is a highly regarded independent London law firm with a strong reputation for advising entrepreneurial businesses, investors, founders and institutions across the technology and wider growth economy.

The firm is seeking to appoint a senior corporate lawyer to join its equity partnership, with a particular focus on developing a leading practice across cross-border M&A, private equity, technology, digital infrastructure and strategic investment.

This is a genuine partnership opportunity for an established corporate practitioner who wants to combine sophisticated transactional work with the opportunity to build and shape a significant practice within an entrepreneurial independent platform.

The Role

The successful Equity Partner will:

• Lead complex domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.
• Advise private equity sponsors, institutional investors, founders, management teams and international corporates.
• Develop a differentiated practice across technology, TMT, AI, digital infrastructure, energy and other growth sectors.
• Advise on acquisitions, disposals, strategic investments, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations.
• Leverage international relationships and referral networks to generate cross-border opportunities.
• Develop existing client relationships while originating new institutional, investor and corporate mandates.
• Work collaboratively across the firm's corporate, commercial, technology and wider advisory practices.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the firm's corporate practice and wider partnership.

The Ideal Candidate

The opportunity is particularly suited to a senior corporate lawyer with:

• A substantial track record in cross-border M&A.
• Significant experience acting for private equity, institutional investors, entrepreneurs and/or international corporates.
• Strong exposure to technology, digital infrastructure, TMT, AI, energy or other high-growth sectors.
• Experience leading complex multi-jurisdictional transactions.
• An established client following and/or demonstrable capacity to originate significant new work.
• Strong international relationships with clients, investors, professional advisers and law firms.
• An entrepreneurial approach to building a practice.
• The ambition to play an active role in shaping the firm's future direction.
