The opportunity

With Dynamo growing from strength to strength, winning awards, building reputational credibility and growing in size, complexity and geographically, a brand-new, exciting opportunity has emerged for a Corporate Legal Specialist to join a growing legal team.

Working closely with our senior Legal Consultant, Head of Project Management Office and Head of Commercial Operations, you will help provide outstanding legal support to the business. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills, whilst contributing to the overall success of the team and the business.

Key responsibilities

Contract management and support

  • Maintaining global master service agreements
  • Confidentiality agreements - drafting and supporting negotiations
  • Maintaining the Company Legal Contracts Tracker

Clientonboardingand review

  • Assisting with due diligence exercises, including maintaining supporting collateral and reviewing and analysing documents (InfoSec, company background etc.)
  • Supporting client acquisition activity, including Requests for Information/Proposal (RFIs and RFPs)
  • Supporting regular review exercises within tight deadlines
  • New supplier validation including client onboarding, i.e. KYC and Tax documents.

Governance

  • Maintaining and updating legal policies and reviewing HR policies
  • Managing Legal SharePoint.

Corporate Support

  • Organising board meetings and annual general meetings (AGMs), preparing agendas and taking minutes.
  • Drafting minutes and board resolutions.
  • New entity set up and incorporation support
  • Carrying out company house and other corporate filings
  • Proactively managing the risk register
  • Liaising with insurers for PI, Public and office insurance across all entities

Other

  • Conducting legal research
  • Maintaining and updating reference/supporting material (particularly during 'quiet times'),
  • General ad hoc legal tasks.
  • Hold a law degree or equivalent or other relevant qualification in law
  • Previous corporate and commercial experience
  • Experience working with legal documents and contracts
  • Strong communication skills and organisational skills, with the ability to communicate priorities, requirements and timelines with audiences of different levels
  • Ability to be pro active and work autonomously

Able to:

  • Work efficiently under pressure
  • Deal with ambiguity
  • Rapidly review large amounts of information to understand and identify key requirements
  • Work with varying document formats to extract data into a workable format
  • Quickly understand critical path and dependencies
  • Initiate and track multiple concurrent discussions

  • Excel

  • Internal communication tools, e.g. Slack
  • Enjoys working hard; is action orientated, gets needed stuff done, finds a way regardless of barriers, able to manage their energy and that of others.
  • Spends their time and the time of others on what is important; is quick to triage with clarity on business critical activity; can cancel out the noise of other people's sense of urgency and priority and eliminate roadblocks.
  • Makes decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure, able to make a quick decision to deliver for the client, even if it means offering an alternative action.
  • Dedicated to creating clear expectations with internal and external customers, frequently meets and exceeds these.
  • Good at collaboration and building relationships to ensure information is gathered and deadlines are met, including ability to set clear instructions and deadlines.
