Job Description

We are looking for a passionate CorporateDevelopment Manager to join our Corporate Partnerships Team. You will be thepoint of contact for any new company interested in supporting our work, andwill lead on establishing new long-term partnerships.

This is a very exciting time to join our team. WWTis unlocking the superpowers of wetlands, addressing the climate, nature,social and economic crises. The business community has a large part to play. Our partners are fundingessential research, enabling game-changing infrastructure, pioneering climateresilience, and helping us to create the tools we need to develop ourcommercial work.

The key responsibility of this role is to generatecirca £300,000 of new business for the corporate partnerships team each year,with a focus on high-value, multi-year relationships. You will respond to newenquiries alongside pursuing leads generated through relationships across theorganisation and your own new business research.

You will be responsible for delivering the NewBusiness Strategy, and for maintaining a good understanding of priority projectsrequiring funding across WWT. An expert in growing relationships, you will enthuse prospects about the work we do. You will work with yourCorporate Partnerships Team colleagues, Project teams and Legal and Finance departmentsto ensure a smooth transition to their Account Manager.

This is full time position working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. You will be required to attend our monthly meeting at Slimbridge HQ in person, and undertake regular travel to our UK-wide sites, and to partner meetings. The remainder of your time can be split between Slimbridge and your home office.

About You

Do you have an understanding of what motivates businessesto support environmental organisations? Are you passionate about the environmentand our climate?

  • We are looking for someone with strongcommercial acumen, and an awareness of trends in the ESG/CSR space.
  • You willhave significant experience of account management, generating income to meettargets, and of writing compelling proposals.
  • You will be an assertivecommunicator, capable of delivering engaging presentations, negotiatingcontracts and networking.
