Corporate & Commercial Senior / Associate Solicitor
Location: Stroud or Gloucester
We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded solicitor to lead and grow a busy Corporate & Commercial department within a well-established Gloucestershire-based law firm. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior role in a thriving practice with a strong client base across a wide range of sectors.
About the Role
You'll be working across a variety of complex and high-value matters, including:
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Corporate restructuring
- Shareholder agreements and joint ventures
- Commercial contracts
- General company law and governance
As a senior member of the team, you'll also contribute to department strategy, mentor junior colleagues, and take an active lead in business development and client relationship management.
This is a genuine opportunity to shape the direction of a key practice area in a firm that values fresh ideas, commercial acumen, and a client-first approach.
What We're Looking For :
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4-5 years' experience in corporate and commercial law
- Proven track record advising on business sales, acquisitions, and complex commercial transactions
- Strong working knowledge of the Companies Act 2006 and contract law
- Comfortable drafting and negotiating detailed agreements and technical documents
- Experience managing client relationships and winning new business
- Leadership experience or ambition to lead a growing team
- Organised, commercially aware, and confident under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and high professional standards
