On behalf of National Savings & Investments, we are looking for a Core Banking SME (SOPRA) (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based hybrid in London, Lytham St Annes, Glasgow or Durham.

This role is subject to Baseline Personnel Security Standard and financial credit checks.
As a Core Banking SME (SOPRA), your main responsibilities will be:
. Review, challenge, and steer decisions on banking platform, SOPRA/SBS.
. Ensure commercial and technical scrutiny of banking agents and products.
. Configure banking engine and understand product functionality.
. Drive digital, cloud, and AI integration strategies within core banking remit, with strong emphasis on event driven architecture and AWS aligned delivery.
. Act as the internal "voice of SBS/SOPRA", ensuring alignment between business expectations and core banking product capabilities.
Essential:
. Deep core banking expertise, ideally SBS/SOPRA.
. Industry experience with banking platforms and products.
. Ability to influence suppliers and stakeholders, as well as critique and challenge suppliers on products created.
. Banking engineer level expertise.
. Experience in Fintech role.
. Core banking implementation.
. Legacy system conversion.
. Hands on understanding of event based architectures and modern cloud native integration patterns (AWS preferred).
. Evidence of delivery focus with end to end build/test/release ownership.
