Cookery Teaching Assistant Job Summary- Graduate Cookery Teaching Assistant - Commencing in May or September
- Full time, term time only role
- Work alongside experienced SEMH professionals and Specialist Teachers
- £100-£110 per day (dependent on experience)
- Support students across Key Stages 3-5 in practical cookery lessons and core academic subjects.
- Assist in delivering structured food technology sessions, promoting independence and life skills.
- Work with students with SEMH, ASD, trauma related needs, and behavioural challenges.
- Provide targeted interventions in small groups (up to 6 students) and on a 1:1 basis.
- Use cookery as a tool to improve engagement, routine, and emotional regulation.
- Support the safe use of kitchen equipment and maintain a structured learning environment.
- Contribute to the wider school day within an Alternative Provision setting.
This role is based at a rapidly expanding Specialist Independent School in Greenwich, located just a short walk from Blackheath station and close to a busy high street.
The school offers excellent facilities, including individual iPads for each student. A second site has recently opened, featuring a dedicated sports space alongside a fully equipped food technology suite and workshop.
This provision is seeking a committed graduate who can contribute to developing students' independence, confidence, and practical life skills through cookery, while supporting their overall progress in education.
