Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook/Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist in menu planning and meal presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Serve meals efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including proper handling of food and equipment

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
Experience with meal preparation, plating, and presentation techniques
Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, and knives
Previous experience working in a fast-paced setting is desirable
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
