Cook Supervisor

The Cook Supervisor works at the Waterfront Campus in Huddersfield. Working with the Catering Team Leader, the role involves leading the kitchen team, developing and delivering high quality food for students and staff, focusing on fresh ingredients, nutrition and value for money.
Key Responsibilities- Order food provisions required for menus.
- Prepare, cook and present food, ensuring sufficient production and minimising waste.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Allergen Management and COSHH regulations.
- Work as part of a team and deliver excellent customer service.
- Plan and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast paced kitchen environment.
- Engage with students and refectory users, reflecting the College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced kitchen, delivering quality food consistently.
- Current Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (desirable).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers.
- Commitment to safeguarding, protecting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Salary: £27,566 per annum (pro rated at £23,669.70).
Location: Huddersfield.
Hours: 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
