Cook - Larkrise Care Centre, Banbury, OX16 0RD
Pay: £13.78 per hour (NVQ and weekend enhancements available). Contracted hours: 30 per week. Shift pattern: 7am - 4.30pm, Monday - Friday, with alternate weekends.
About the RoleWe're recruiting a Cook to join our passionate, hard working and friendly catering team, creating delicious meals for residents. Nutrition is an important part of the care package; you will be actively involved in meeting the nutritional needs of residents, ensuring a high quality dining experience for all. You will get to know residents and families, understanding their preferences. Some weekend work will be required. You'll work alongside a team passionate about providing care, warmth and kindness to all who live and work in our homes.
Larkrise Care Centre, located on a quiet street in Banbury, offers compassionate, individualised care in a calm, friendly setting. We support up to 60 residents with tailored residential, nursing, dementia and respite care, with a focus on a warm environment for those living with dementia.

You should have previous experience working in a professional kitchen and catering for specialist diets, providing meals for large groups. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required. Ideally, you are working toward a Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking or equivalent, but this is not essential. You should be confident engaging with elderly residents to understand their individual needs, and enjoy being part of a wider team in the home.
