Job Description

The role of a cook with Agincare is more than just cooking. You will be working with the team to provide a high quality of life for residents.

Main duties of the job

As a cook with Agincare you will be responsible for menu planning, understanding dietary needs and managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Responsibilities
  • Menu planning - collaborate with the home manager and residents to develop and implement menu ideas.
  • Understanding dietary needs - work closely with staff to meet residents' specific nutritional and dietary needs, including modified textures and allergies.
  • Kitchen Management - act as the main contact for the kitchen, responsible for stock management and hygiene standards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 12 months right to work.
  • Background within kitchens and knowledge of how to run a professional kitchen.
  • Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or ability to support complex dietary requirements is desirable.
  • Experience in catering and managing dietary requirements.
  • Availability to work 16 hours per week (2 days per week, 7.30am 3.30pm, including alternative weekends).
