Purpose:As part of the Support department, you will provide assistance to customers during breakdowns and general inquiries. You will also carry out system upgrades, modifications, inspections, and maintenance. Some basic mechanical work will be involved in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Logging all work and inquiries on the Helpdesk System and keeping records up to date.
- Responding to customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Preparing equipment for site deployment.
- Assisting with specifying and planning of works, including basic electrical design.
- Compiling final customer reports.
- Conducting system inspections, maintenance, testing, and basic mechanical maintenance.
- System control and commissioning.
- Managing specific projects and tasks.
- Working proactively within the support team and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations and success.
- Taking initiative and working with minimal supervision.
- Adhering to deadlines, schedules, and budget constraints.
- Ensuring excellent customer satisfaction through direct communication with clients.
- Assisting in generating new business opportunities.
- Resolving issues professionally with colleagues.
- Following health and safety policies diligently.
- Minimum 2.1 degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent vocational experience.
- Experience in PLC programming.
- Knowledge of control theory, electrical theory, and safety standards.
- Understanding of mechanical systems.
- Experience in designing or commissioning industrial motion control systems, especially using Siemens and Control Techniques.
