A well-established international manufacturing company is seeking a Controller / Sr. Accountant to lead its accounting operations in the Benelux region. This is a hands-on managerial role ideal for a finance professional with strong experience in manufacturing accounting, small team leadership, and global reporting.

As the most senior accounting professional in the Benelux region, you'll manage a small team and oversee all day-to-day accounting, tax, inventory, and reporting functions. You'll report locally to the Regional GM and functionally to the Global Controller at headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, taxes, and inventory.
• Supervise and support a small team of junior accountants.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and submit reporting under IAS.
• Oversee sales & use tax compliance and support year-end tax filings.
• Manage physical inventory reporting, overhead allocation, and write-offs.
• Coordinate with HQ finance on consolidation and intercompany transactions.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure reporting accuracy.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid knowledge of inventory accounting and cost allocation.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.
• Strong understanding of the local tax compliance (sales/use and annual filings).
• Familiarity with IAS and IFRS reporting and working with global HQ - an advantage
