Control System Engineer - Poynton

• Salary: Up to £60k depending on experience

• Site work allowance: £65-£100 per day

• Contract: Permanent, full time (40 hours per week)

We're a family run manufacturer in Stockport that started life over thirty years ago, since then, we've grown into a leading specialist producing pressurised manifold depositing systems for light, aerated and delicate masses, plus bespoke production lines for chilled foods. We're now looking for a Control System Engineer to join our expanding team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support and update existing machine designs alongside a supportive controls engineering team.

• Program PLCs (ideally using Rockwell RSLogix 5000 or a similar platform), HMI and motion control systems.

• Design electrical systems with tools such as EPLAN and AutoCAD; assemble and test control panels, including backplate layout, trunking, cable labelling and wiring.

• Gain additional skills through in house training.

• Travel worldwide for up to two weeks at a time to oversee installation of new machines.

Who We're Looking For

• Someone ready to take the next step in their career; recent graduates are welcome.

• Experience with PLC programming (Rockwell preferred), motion control, HMI design, software design and electrical design.

• A good understanding of machine safety and relevant standards.

• HND or equivalent experience is an advantage.

• Experience in the food industry is a plus.
