Contracts Manager

(Temp to Perm) - Milton Keynes

£20.51 per hour Mon-Fri 07:30-16:30 Mileage paid (55p/mile)

Looking for a role where you can take real ownership of projects from tender setup through to site handover? We're recruiting a Contracts Manager to support efficient project delivery, maintain robust records, and act as a key link between the contracts team, subcontract installers, and internal departments.

Key responsibilities
  • Set up and manage tenders following sales handover and project appointment
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, and maintain clear action tracking
  • Build and develop a master tracker per project (key dates/checkpoints)
  • Draft, issue, distribute and maintain project programmes
  • Manage incident reporting / customer care, tracking and responding to site issues
  • Attend design meetings and relay risk information to site & installation teams
  • Draft and issue site-specific RAMS to clients
  • Support subcontractor appointment with the QS, including resourcing decisions
  • Raise and log Delay Notices (DN), NCRs, and variations (with background costs)
  • Maintain project documentation and issue logs (email distribution and N-Drive updates)
  • Complete initial site visits, pre-start meetings, and ongoing supervision
  • Carry out inspections and snagging with documented audit records
  • Drive handover activity to ensure timely project completion
  • Produce site reports within 24 hours of visits (H&S, programme, progress %)
  • Where required, support lifting operations planning and take site measurements (e.g., stairs)
Essential requirements
  • Gold/White CSCS card minimum (Black CSCS desirable)
  • Own vehicle and willingness to travel to sites (incl. occasional Southeast Kent)
  • Strong organisation, client communication, and documentation/reporting skills
