From raising permits and TTRO requests to managing call-outs, processing timesheets, coordinating vehicle maintenance, and scheduling works through Mayrise and PLANet, you'll be at the heart of our day-to-day operations. The Role- Provide comprehensive operational and administrative support to the Essex Highways Streetlighting team.
- Raise and close daily permits (including TTRO requests), liaising with the permitting team as required and maintain accurate project statistics.
- Process weekly timesheets and Toolbox Talks, ensuring all records are completed and submitted accurately and on time.
- Manage the call-out phone, assign works to the operational team, and schedule activities using Mayrise and PLANet asset management systems.
- Coordinate team and depot logistics, including booking meetings, scheduling vehicle maintenance, organising skip/waste disposal, and supporting additional administrative duties as required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Confident IT user with a good level of computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Customer-focused approach, with experience in public-facing or customer service environments advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Experience with asset management systems and/or familiarity with the Essex road network or public sector administration is desirable.
