Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our Procurement team, reporting to the Procurement Director for the UK & Ireland. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of contracting experience in Ireland (both North and South), deep industry knowledge of the Irish travel market, and strong supplier relationships, particularly in the B2C travel sector.

This role is based in Edinburgh and follows a hybrid working model. Candidates are expected to work on-site at the Edinburgh office two days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Contract Negotiation & Management: Negotiate preferential rates, allocations, and key terms within supplier contracts under strict deadlines.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships.
  • Commercial Acumen: Identify market trends and growth opportunities to expand the supplier portfolio.
  • Travel Industry Expertise: Proven experience in hotel contracting for FIT, Private Tours, and Groups.

  • Communication: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate across departments and support the Procurement Director.
  • Organisation: Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel for supplier meetings, site inspections, and trade fairs.
  • Problem Solving: Skilled at resolving contract and supplier-related issues.
  • Adaptability: Flexible in responding to industry changes and business needs.

Essential Skills:

  • 3-5 years of contracting experience in Ireland (North & South), preferably in FIT, Private Tours, and Groups markets.
  • Strong supplier network in Ireland (accommodation, transport, experiences).
  • In-depth knowledge of Ireland as a destination for North American travellers.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Legally able to work in the UK.
  • Clean driving license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of UK and Ireland contract law.
  • B2C contracting experience in Ireland.
  • Familiarity with Asana Boards and Power BI.
