About the role: We are seeking a highly experienced, SC cleared and accomplished Oracle Fixed Asset Consultant who can work with Public Sector/Government clients. You will design, configure and deploy Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets as part of the wider Oracle Fusion implementation.
Essential Skills- Eligible and willing to obtain UK Government Security Clearance (i.e. must have lived in the UK for the last 5 years).
- Experience in design, configuration and deployment of the Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets as part of the wider Oracle Fusion implementation.
- Leading asset process area, design asset solution and ensuring alignment with business needs and financial regulations.
- Deep functional expertise in the Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets module with extensive collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams to design and implement effective asset solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with business stakeholders, functional and technical teams, and project leadership.
- Proficiency with status reporting and familiarity with tools like Jira/Confluence for project management.
- Solution Design: Analyse business requirements, design functional solutions, identify technical components, and develop functional specifications aligned with the Oracle Fusion Financials framework.
- Configuration & Deployment: Lead the setup and deployment of Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets.
- Collaboration: Work with other Finance Process Areas (Projects, Procurement, Payables, HCM, Tax, Risk and Controls, Technical, etc.) for end-to-end integrated solutions.
- Implementation: Manage the full lifecycle of an implementation project for Fixed Asset Process Area, from build and testing to defect resolution and post-go-live support.
- Asset Processes: Configure and support core fixed asset processes (acquisition, capitalization, depreciation rules, asset categorization, impairment, retirement, etc.).
- Data Migration: Review and support client and data migration teams with data for migration into the Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets module.
- Reporting & Compliance: Ensure the Fixed Assets solution complies with internal regulations and support reporting requirements and documentation.
- Integration: Review and support integration teams with fixed asset integrations and functional design documentation.
- Testing & Support: Develop and support test scripts for unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Stakeholder Engagement: Provide functional advice to business users and stakeholders, facilitate workshops, meetings and discussions related to fixed asset processes.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address issues and proactively find solutions.
- Independent Work: Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Good with status reporting and familiarity with Jira/Confluence for project management.
- Experience of accounting for assets in a public sector environment
- Experience of managing lease accounting within Oracle Fusion
