Job Description

Medinet are seeking an experienced Consultant Rheumatologist to support weekend outpatient activity. The postholder will deliver high quality care to new adult rheumatology patients within a structured outpatient setting. This role is offered on a temporary basis until March 2026.

Main duties of the job

Provide consultant level rheumatology outpatient assessments for new adult patients.

Manage a caseload of 16 patients per clinic/list.

Deliver safe, evidence based clinical decisionmaking in line with Trust and national guidelines.

Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and effective patient pathways.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to governance processes as required.

Qualifications
  • Full GMC registration.
  • On the Specialist Register for Rheumatology.
  • Must hold a substantive consultant post or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing new adult rheumatology patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high quality clinical care.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
