We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our mental health team at HMP Stocken. HMP Stocken is a category C training prison housing around 1,056 patients, the majority aged between 21 and 40 years. You will work with the multidisciplinary team to deliver support to adult males with complex mental health and trauma needs.
Job summaryHours: 20 hours per week across 2.5 days. We are happy to create a rolling rota (2 days one week, 3 the next) and are flexible on which days are worked Monday to Friday. A full-time role is available if working across both HMP Stocken and either HMP Gartree or HMP Five Wells.
Salary: This position is 20 hours per week with an annual salary up to £180,000 FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties / Responsibilities- Provide excellent clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients on the case load onsite
- Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments, and provide clinical supervision
- Work within the multidisciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi-professional complex case reviews

Qualifications- Registered professional with current GMC registration
- Specialist Registration in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry
- Approved under section 12(2) of the MHS 1983
- Understanding of the complexities of multidisciplinary and multi-agency working
- Up-to-date knowledge in adult psychiatry and PSD/PD
- Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy, and legislation
