This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a highly collaborative team, supported by a Medical Secretary and a Specialist Doctor to ensure efficient daily operations.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic, person-centered care based on the recovery model, and support high-quality clinical services at the hospital.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be:- Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including ward rounds, risk reviews, and therapeutic milieu development.
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act (1983).
- Providing psychiatric insights during assessments, formulations, and treatments.
- Participating in management and clinical governance meetings, and contributing to service strategy development.
- Supporting in-house training and supervising junior medical staff.
- Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements as per the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Being part of an on-call Responsible Clinician rota.
- Be medically qualified, MRCPsych or equivalent.
- Be innovative, with strong decision-making skills.
- Have current knowledge of psychiatry and mental health developments.
- Possess knowledge of change management, legislation, and contractual issues in mental health services.
- Have previous experience in a management role as a Consultant.
