London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Neurologist to join the team at Northwick Park Hospital, London. The post supports the current team and contributes to developing Neurology services across the local area.

We are looking for a dynamic and friendly colleague to join the existing team at Northwick Park Hospital. The applicant will support the current team and undertake general outpatient clinics, perform liaison work on the wards, contribute to advice and guidance and triaging of referrals from the primary sector, as well as supervising the clinical fellows and nurse specialists. Approximately 1500 new outpatients are currently seen each year, and there is a strong local demand for more access to a neurological opinion.
The Department of Neurology at LNWUHT currently has a diverse team of 15 Consultant Neurologists across the three hospital sites, with 7 based at Northwick Park Hospital. There are four specialist nurses across the sites, 2 clinical fellows at Northwick Park, and a comprehensive Neurophysiology service at Central Middlesex Hospital including 2.6 WTE physiologists and a supervising Neurophysiology Consultant.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCP (UK)
- On the Specialist Register in Neurology (or within 6 months of date of interview)
- Wide range of experience - including paediatrics and adult
- Broad based training in Neurology and its subspecialties
- Broad based general professional training in general medicine
- NHS experience within the last 3 years
