Job summaryNWUH NHS Trust is looking for a dynamic and motivated radiologist to join a team of 60 consultants, three staff grade doctors and 23 registrars working collaboratively across the three sites to provide high quality imaging service.
The successful candidate will contribute to the broad spectrum of work undertaken by our consultant radiologists as detailed in the job description.
The post is based at Central Middlesex Hospitals. Post-holders will be expected to cover all sites as part of the acute Radiology management. Commitments will include relevant MDTs, imaging-guided procedures, plain radiograph, CT and MRI reporting.

Applicants must have full GMC Registration and be on the Specialist Register or be eligible for inclusion within six months of the interview date.
Main duties of the jobGeneral responsibilities will include acute, elective and on call work. Teaching and training are actively encouraged. There will be an on-call commitment which will include weekend working. Opportunities for teaching and management are ample.

Person Specification Qualifications- Recognised Medical Degree
- Broad based general professional training in general medicine
- Comprehensive training and experience in tertiary level gastro-intestinal imaging with a focus on GI fluoroscopy and advanced lower and upper GI cancer
- Ability to independently perform CT / US guided abdomino-pelvic drainages and targeted biopsies
- GuidanceScore On GMC registered Medical Practitioner GMC specialist registration or within six months of CCT or CESR
- Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates and junior medical staff
- A broad understanding of the management role of a consultant and mechanisms
- Knowledge of finance/budgets
- Proven ability to carry out and present research projects
- Presentations at National meetings
