An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner to join the delivery team on a major hyperscale data centre project in Sweden.
This is a key role on a fast-paced, technically complex development, offering the chance to work on one of Europe's most significant mission-critical construction projects. You'll be part of a collaborative team responsible for delivering world-class digital infrastructure for a global end client.
The RoleAs Senior Planner, you will be responsible for developing, managing and maintaining the integrated project programme from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
Working closely with the Project Director, Construction Managers, Commercial Team, Design Managers and client representatives, you will ensure the project programme accurately reflects progress, identifies risks early and supports the successful delivery of key milestones.
This role requires an individual with proven experience in mission-critical construction who understands the complexities of coordinating civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and commissioning activities within a live project environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain fully integrated project programmes using Primavera P6.
- Produce baseline, target, tender and recovery programmes throughout the project life cycle.
- Integrate construction, MEP, commissioning and client milestone programmes into one master schedule.
- Monitor progress through regular programme updates and detailed progress analysis.
- Identify critical path activities, schedule risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
- Coordinate design, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and construction activities across multiple disciplines.
- Monitor long-lead equipment including generators, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, cooling equipment and other critical infrastructure.
- Produce programme performance reports including KPIs, SPI, CPI, S-curves, manpower histograms and cash flow forecasts.
- Utilise Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to measure project performance.
- Prepare Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
- Review and integrate subcontractor programmes into the overall project schedule.
- Produce clear weekly and monthly reports highlighting project status, risks, mitigation measures and forecast completion dates.
- Attend client, coordination and programme review meetings.
- Support commissioning planning, phased handovers and final project completion.
- Mentor junior planners and contribute to continuous improvement within the planning function.
About You
You will be an experienced planner with a strong background delivering complex, high-value construction projects, ideally within the data centre or mission-critical sector.
You will have:
- Significant experience planning large-scale data centre or mission-critical construction projects.
- Proven delivery experience on hyperscale, colocation or enterprise data centre developments.
- Advanced Primavera P6 expertise.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing across CSA, mechanical, electrical and commissioning works.
- Experience managing programmes within fast-track construction environments.
- Excellent knowledge of critical path methodology, schedule risk analysis and Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Experience preparing recovery programmes, Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present programme updates to senior stakeholders and clients.
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
