Construction Assurance Manager (Engineer / Agent / Construction Manager) - Major Infrastructure Project - Heavy Civils
We are seeking a construction professional with experience in heavy civils, ideally gained with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor or subcontractor, to join the largest civil engineering project in the UK.
This is a client-side role supporting NEC3 Project Managers and Senior Construction Assurance Managers. Your practical knowledge of civil engineering delivery will help assure constructability on site, using a risk-based and proactive approach, with a shift towards early intervention and ongoing project insight.
This is a fully project-based role, covering multiple major civil sites, providing weekly access to some of the most iconic infrastructure projects in the UK.
You may have gained your experience through:
- Starting on the tools and progressing into supervision or construction management.
- Technical engineering roles such as Site Engineer, Section Engineer, or Project Engineer.
- Commercial or inspection-based positions, including NEC Supervisor or Quantity Surveyor.
You do not need Tier 1 experience. What matters is credible construction experience on complex civil engineering schemes, particularly in earthworks, structures, bridges, or ground engineering, whether from a contractor or subcontractor.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain client-side exposure while remaining deeply embedded in site-level delivery. You will have the chance to tour multiple projects, engage directly with contractor teams, and gain insights into their planning and execution processes. The role is expected to grow in influence as the project progresses, especially as systems elements ramp up.
We're looking for someone with:
- CDM knowledge
- Strong construction insight with the confidence to interrogate site activities, programmes, and delivery risks.
If this sounds like you, it's a highly exciting role based in the Birmingham delta region.
