- Location: South East London + Onsite
- Job Type: Variable Hours
We are seeking a dedicated Skills Coach to join our Apprenticeships - Trade team. This role involves assessing, coaching, and mentoring apprentices to ensure they meet the gateway for End Point Assessment (EPA) and achieve timely completion of their apprenticeship programs.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Plan and deliver individual learning sessions that align with the standards and end point assessments for apprentices.
- Conduct initial assessments, collect enrolment paperwork, and advise learners on the most suitable qualifications.
- Assess learners both remotely and in the workplace, preparing them for their EPA.
- Provide dynamic and constructive feedback to learners, identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of learners' progress, assessments, and feedback using both paperwork and electronic systems.
- Engage with online platforms to monitor and support learners' training documentation.
- Regularly review learners in accordance with their commitment statement, providing detailed feedback and liaising with employers to ensure readiness for EPA.
- Mentor learners, addressing any barriers to learning, and liaise with various stakeholders to facilitate training and assessment opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hold a Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent in the vocational area.
- Possess or be working towards an Assessor qualification (D32/D33, A1).
- Ideally hold or be working towards a coaching or mentoring qualification.
- Teaching qualification (minimum PTTLS) or be working towards one.
- Minimum Level 2 standard in English and Maths.
- Relevant and current experience within the vocational sector, with excellent practical and theoretical knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, with excellent organisational skills and a flexible, resilient approach.
