We are currently recruiting for a Configuration Manager to join QinetiQ Target Systems (QTS) within our Engineering Team.

QTS is a wholly owned subsidiary of QinetiQ Group PLC, specializing in the design and manufacture of state-of-the-art Unmanned Aerial and Surface Target Systems, including the world-leading Banshee Target. The effectiveness of frontline military operations depends on having the right equipment and thorough training against realistic threats, requiring rigorous testing, integration, and training before deployment.

QTS is a world leader in designing, developing, manufacturing, and operating advanced target systems for live-fire training exercises and weapons testing and evaluation.

The Role

As a Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for delivering, maintaining, and improving high-quality technical configuration solutions by working closely with other engineering disciplines.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of product configuration management plans, processes, and procedures
• Ownership of product engineering change control, processes, and procedures
• Management and leadership of the Engineering Configuration team
• Ownership of configuration status records, processes, and procedures
• Identifying industry best practices to support and develop new procedures

Essential experience of the Configuration Manager:

• Previous experience within configuration management
• Leadership experience in configuration management

This role is 37 hours per week based at QTS Ashford, with hybrid working patterns available.
