Conference & Banqueting Manager

Red Chair Recruitment are recruiting a Conference & Banqueting Manager for one of our clients, a busy and well-established hotel based in Meath. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced C&B professional to join a strong management team and play a key role in the continued development of the hotel's conference and events business. The hotel hosts a busy programme of events, including music events, with further investment planned for the conference and events offering. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day Conference & Banqueting operation, ensuring high service standards.
• Lead, motivate and develop the C&B team to deliver excellent guest experiences.
• Plan and coordinate conferences, meetings, functions and events from enquiry through to completion.
• Work closely with the Deputy General Manager and wider management team to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage event set-ups, service standards, staffing and operational requirements.
• Build strong relationships with corporate clients, event organisers and key stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets, revenue and costs to maximise commercial performance.
• Identify opportunities to grow the conference and events business.
• Support the planning and implementation of future investment and improvements within the C&B operation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, licensing and hotel standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Conference & Banqueting or Events Management role within a hotel.
• Strong conference and corporate events experience is essential.
• Proven experience managing busy events and leading teams.
• Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with large-scale events or entertainment events is desirable.

Salary: €45,000 - €60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
