Job Description

Join a Specialist Lloyd's Insurance Broker as a Compliance Specialist

This role offers a diverse array of responsibilities and is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Regulatory Projects: Identify and communicate upcoming regulatory changes, develop responsive policies, and integrate process changes.
  2. Business/Culture Support: Act as the compliance representative at Pillar Excoms, conduct risk assessments on trading partners, and enhance business controls.
  3. Policy Development: Support the creation and maintenance of compliance standards, policies, and procedures.
  4. Committee Coordination: Manage the Insurer Security, Third Parties, and Product Governance Committees, including risk assessments and reporting.
  5. Training and Communication: Provide regulatory updates, develop compliance tools, and collaborate with the Marketing team on communications.
  6. Legal Document Review: Assist in negotiating TOBAs, NDAs, and other legal documents.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Proven compliance experience in the insurance market.
  • Commercially pragmatic approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good understanding of broking, underwriting businesses, and delegated authorities.
  • Familiarity with Lloyd's and the London Insurance Market.
  • Experience within a compliance team in an insurance company, broker, consultancy, or regulator.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Smartsheets.
