This is a key role within the firm's risk and compliance function, focusing on providing expert legal guidance on complex conflict issues that arise in relation to new business intake, client matters, and firm-wide operations.
The Role?
- Advising on legal and regulatory conflict issues across a wide range of practice areas and jurisdictions.
- Reviewing new mandates and client relationships to identify potential conflicts.
- Working closely with partners, fee earners, and the wider compliance team to resolve conflict queries efficiently and in accordance with professional obligations.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of internal policies, procedures, and training related to conflicts of interest.
- Monitoring regulatory developments and assessing their impact on the firm's conflict practices.
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent) with solid post-qualification experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong technical understanding of legal and commercial conflict rules
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional conflict issues.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
