Are you caring, patient and passionate about supporting children with complex additional needs? Do you want to make a meaningful difference to pupils who require personalised and consistent support?

A specialist SEN school in Tilehurst is looking for a compassionate Complex Needs Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs and is seeking someone who can provide individualised support both in the classroom and throughout the wider school day.

You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to help pupils engage with learning, develop their independence and access school life in a safe and supportive environment.

As a Complex Needs Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs
• Assist pupils with their learning and engagement in classroom activities
• Adapt activities and communication approaches to suit individual needs
• Support pupils with their social, emotional and communication development
• Encourage independence and develop pupils' confidence
• Assist with personal care and daily routines where required

This position would suit candidates with experience in SEN, childcare, care work, nursing, support work or education, as well as graduates looking to gain valuable experience within a specialist setting.
