Complementary Therapist Volunteer at Daisy Lodge What is the purpose of the role? 
Our Complementary Therapists work with families visiting Daisy Lodge to provide treatments including massage, aromatherapy, and reflexology.
LocationDaisy Lodge, 124a Bryansford Road, Newcastle, BT33 0PP
Your commitmentWe are looking for individuals who can volunteer on morning/afternoon/evening during the week and/or on Saturdays.
All volunteers in Daisy Lodge will go through our Volunteer Recruitment process:- Application through our webpage
- Informal Interview
- Provide 2 references
- Access NI check
- Attend induction with tour of Daisy Lodge.
As a volunteer you would have the opportunity to:
- Meet with service users and discuss treatments.
- Offer treatments and work to a high standard.
- Prepare the room for treatment and tidy up.
- Maintain necessary records.
- Ability to offer a holistic approach to therapies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be able to work with professional boundaries.
- Offer a high standard of treatment and care to families.
- Membership with a recognised body
- Support from our Complimentary Therapy Manager and Volunteer Coordinator.
- Branded uniform to identify you as a Cancer Fund for Children volunteer.
- Lots of fun meeting new people and learning some skills along the way
- Mileage costs to cover your travel.
- A great deal of satisfaction from knowing you are helping families going through a cancer diagnosis.
