Company Health and Safety Manager

My client, one of Ireland's leading Civil Engineering contractors are now searching for a Company Health & Safety Manager to work across large scale civils projects in the Cork Region.

Role:

• Ensuring effective implementation of company H&S policies and procedures in the company offices & on projects
• Carrying out regular health and safety inspections
• Providing support and advice to staff, site supervisors and site operatives
• Inspecting documents and records relating to safety
• Reviewing risk assessments and method statements
• Communicating safety issues with the project team and other stakeholders
• Conducting onsite training, briefings and toolbox talks
• Liaising with client teams for all safety matters
• Managing our internal management system
• Preparing the company for various accreditation audits

Requirements:

• Must hold a third level health & safety qualification
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in H&S supervision in the construction industry
• Preferably will have 3+ years in the civil engineering sector
• Must have H&S experience in Ireland or UK (Mandatory)
• Experience on construction projects (Mandatory)
• Must have good oral and written communication capabilities
• Must have a full driving licence

Salary:

• Salary €90k - €100k DOE
