St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid. Our social enterprise network delivers first aid training and supplies medical consumables to businesses and consumers.

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Volunteering Officer to support our volunteer leadership and foster the future growth of our organization. Your role will involve coaching, encouraging, and empowering volunteers to maximize their impact in local communities, supporting outreach initiatives, conducting demographic analysis, and designing recruitment campaigns. Strong communication skills are essential, as is a passion for teamwork and partnership working. Flexibility in working arrangements is important to ensure support is accessible where needed. About The Role
You will support volunteer activities and drive the growth of Community First Aid Networks across your area. Responsibilities include creating volunteer opportunities, supporting community engagement sessions, recruiting and inducting volunteers, delivering community education programs, engaging young people, and strengthening partnerships. You will also support fundraising, raise awareness of St John's activities, and ensure a meaningful community presence. Organizational and people skills are vital for tracking performance, ensuring safety, and supporting volunteers. As the first point of contact in your area, you will champion diversity, inclusion, and best practices.
You will work with volunteer leadership and regional staff, making a difference while learning across various areas of the charity.
