An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Strategic Partnerships Team to join our team as a Community Safety Officer. The role is part-time at 29.6 hours per week, supporting key target areas of work relating to crime & disorder and community safety across Monmouthshire.
Responsibilities- Work with the Monmouthshire Community Safety Lead(s), partner agencies and the wider community to support crime & disorder and community safety initiatives.
- Ensure a joined up, well coordinated approach that reduces crime within local communities and supports citizen safety across the county.
County Hall, Rhadyr, Usk, Monmouthshire, NP15 1GA, United Kingdom. The location may change if the service requires relocation; relocation or disturbance expenses will not be paid.
SalarySalary is pro rata if not working full time hours or 52 weeks per year. For example, 37 hours per week is equivalent to 32.5 hours per week for school teachers.
Term Time OnlyDetails of weeks per year will be discussed with the successful applicant.
Background ChecksThe appointment is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including both Children/Adults Barred List checks.
Welsh Language SkillsWelsh language skills are desirable.
