Role Overview
As developers, owners and operators of renewable energy projects, we engage with a wide range of audiences and are uniquely positioned to leave a lasting impact in the regions where we operate. Within this key role, you will be responsible for the coordination of all community engagement activities for a number of our projects across the UK.
What will you be doing?
Being the main point of contact for feedback, be responsible for signposting, recording all enquiries and follow up responses. Respond to, re-direct and resolve queries, complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner and making the project team aware of any issues immediately.
Build relationships with the local community, charities, and other relevant organisations to identify and deliver community projects.
Shape and deliver local stakeholder and community engagement plans in collaboration with colleagues in the project team and relevant consultants/contractors. E.g. plan and deliver educational sessions in local schools and colleges.
Help deliver public consultation events and group briefings and presentations.
Gain and share an understanding of stakeholder perspectives and be aware of local issues and sensitivities.
Prepare and provide input into relevant reports, press releases and other communications, e.g. newsletters, website updates, as required.
What are we looking for?
Experience in developing and delivering best practice stakeholder engagement programmes.
The ability to set direction and coordinate with others internally.
Experience in measurement and evaluation; setting objectives and using learnings to adapt stakeholder engagement approaches.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with people.
Ability to work well remotely with colleagues working in other locations as well as attend events around the UK, according to work needs.
An understanding of the renewable energy markets and renewable energy project lifecycle.
Ability to prioritise workload effectively in order to respond to numerous, diverse challenges and demands.
Must have basic computer skills (MS Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and an advanced level of written and spoken English language.
Must have a driving license and access to a car to facilitate attendance at meetings and events across the UK.
