About the RoleWe are looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated Support Workers to join our team providing domiciliary care and community support across Bristol.
This is a rewarding role supporting individuals to maintain their independence, develop their daily living skills and engage positively within their local communities.
The successful candidates will be supporting individuals who may have mental health needs, learning disabilities and/or autism, so experience and confidence in working with these groups is essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support, which may include:
- Supporting individuals with daily living and personal care needs.
- Supporting with medication in line with individual care plans and agreed procedures.
- Supporting individuals with shopping, budgeting and managing their finances.
- Supporting individuals to access appointments and essential services.
- Encouraging and supporting community engagement and participation in activities.
- Promoting independence, confidence and daily living skills.
- Providing emotional and practical support in line with individual needs and care plans.
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and other professionals.
- Supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals and maintain a positive quality of life.
The role will vary according to the individual needs of the people we support, and all support will be delivered in a person-centred and recovery-focused manner.
About YouWe are looking for candidates who:
- Have previous experience working in domiciliary care, community support or a similar care/support role.
- Have experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities and/or autism.
- Are confident supporting individuals with budgeting, managing finances and shopping.
- Are comfortable supporting people to access appointments, activities and community services.
- Have a genuine commitment to promoting independence and enabling people to achieve their goals.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Are compassionate, patient, reliable and professional.
- Can work effectively as part of a wider care and support team.
- Are flexible and able to work weekends and bank holidays when required.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role, as the position involves travelling between locations and providing community-based support across Bristol.
