- Assisting with travel arrangements
- Supporting to go on short breaks or holidays
- Monitoring diet and eating
- Assisting with meal preparation and general shopping
- Providing housekeeping (such as helping with laundry and ironing, making beds and changing linen)
- Arranging and collecting prescriptions
- Supervising home maintenance and overseeing home deliveries
- Dealing with mail and correspondence
- Answering the door and telephone
- Organising wardrobes and cupboards
- Caring for houseplants
- Dropping off and collecting dry cleaning
- Assisting with pet care
- Supporting Clients to access education
- Supporting Clients to find and maintain employment and work experience
- Teaching Clients daily living skills
- Supporting Clients to develop a social and community presence
Over 21's - £13.00 per hour
Under 21's - £11.50 per hour
We're looking at paid travel time from April and currently offer 30p towards mileage costs
Working HoursOur morning shifts are: 7am - 2pm and our evening shifts are: 4pm - 10pm
All we ask for is to work the alternate weekend
School hours may be considered, but you must be available for alternate weekends
Who you'll be supportingThe Care Collection supports older adults who may be affected by a range of conditions, including physical health and sensory impairments such as reduced mobility, risk of falls, joint stiffness, continence needs, and issues relating to dental, skin, and foot health.
Support is also provided for condition-led needs, including dementia, Parkinson's disease, organ failure, diabetes, cancer, stroke, depression, anxiety, and heart-related conditions.
End-of-life care is offered with a focus on pain management, skin protection, bed care, and providing emotional reassurance and support.
The Care Collection supports children and younger adults with a variety of needs.
This includes physical health and sensory impairments resulting from accidents, brain injuries, burns, amputations, deafness, blindness, muscular and skeletal conditions, multiple sclerosis (MS), cerebral palsy, and motor neurone conditions.
Mental health support is also available for conditions such as depression, anxiety, OCD, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
Additionally, support is provided for individuals with learning disabilities, including autism, Asperger's syndrome, Down syndrome, Williams syndrome, Fragile X syndrome, global developmental delay, ADHD, as well as those with challenging behaviours and communication difficulties.
Requirements- Female and male applicants are welcome (Male applicants must be happy with part time hours)
- Full UK licence with access to your own car
- Experience is preferred but not essential as full training is provided
