Job Description
Community Care Assistant

Dennyson Care provides personalised home-based care services to help people live safely and comfortably in their own homes, including regular home care assistance with daily tasks, personal care, meal support, medication reminders and companionship, as well as 24/7 live-in care, short-term respite care, dementia and specialised support tailored to individual needs, and light domestic help to maintain wellbeing and independence

  • Location: Ilford, London
  • Pay Rate: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
  • Hours: Full-time and Part-time available
  • Supporting one client in their own home.
  • Visiting times:
  • 9:30-10:30am
  • 12:30pm-1:15pm
  • 4:30pm-5:15pm
  • 7pm-7:45pm
About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and reliable Community Care Assistants to support individuals in their own homes across Ilford. You will help service users maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life by providing high-quality, person-centred care.

No previous experience is required - full training is provided for those new to care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting service users with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Assisting with meal preparation and hydration
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Helping with medication prompts (where required)
  • Supporting with light household tasks
  • Following care plans and reporting any concerns
  • Promoting independence and respect at all times
Requirements
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • A caring, patient, and reliable attitude
  • Drivers preferred (but not essential)
  • Updated DBS desired (support available if you need a new one)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to learn and complete training
