This role offers the chance to develop your technical expertise through hands on testing, close work with commissioning engineers, and exposure to advanced electrical control and distribution systems. You'll gain valuable experience in a unique environment while supporting our journey towards An Electric Britain.

  • Holding a time served trade apprenticeship, NVQ, Level 3 or ONC in an electrical engineering subject (or offering significant experience without the qualification).
  • Conducting commissioning tests, return to service tests, operational tests or maintenance tests.
  • Working in industries such as Oil & Gas, Marine or Utilities or other similar environments.
  • BSth Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • CSCS Black Card.
  • ECS Gold Card.
  • Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection & Testing.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting commissioning engineers with the execution of planned testing.
  • Working safely within nuclear site licence conditions, statutory regulations and local procedures.
  • Contributing to commissioning activities within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensuring testing is delivered to the required standard.
  • Identifying and escalating any unsafe conditions or practices.

Alongside a competitive salary, potential for an annual bonus, and a market leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days and more.
