Job Description

With over 25 years of experience, nearly 240 care homes and six independent hospitals, Barchester Healthcare is one of the UK's leading care home providers. We are expanding our fast-growing new build programme, aiming to open 10 purpose built homes each year, including dedicated dementia communities "Memory Lane".

Main duties of the job

As a Commissioning Home Manager you will drive recruitment, build and develop a brand new team, and work closely with the new build project team to introduce the home into the wider community. You will set the foundations for an outstanding care home and successfully lead it through its first inspection. The role also includes community engagement, marketing to drive occupancy, and ensuring high standards of safeguarding, CQC and compliance.

  • Inspirational leadership skills and a passion for person centred care
  • Successful track record of developing and motivating teams to deliver outstanding personalised care
  • Experience managing or opening a new build care home
  • Community engagement and marketing experience to drive occupancy
  • Experience managing a luxury care home with a high proportion of privately funded residents
  • Excellent organisational and management skills
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, CQC and compliance guidelines
  • Resilience and compassion to support residents and staff
