OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for a junior or early career Commissioning Engineer with a Mechanical or Process Engineering background to join the team supporting Hinkley Point C, one of the UK's largest and most complex energy projects.
You'll be involved in the commissioning and testing of major plant systems, working alongside experienced engineers in a multidisciplinary environment. The role offers hands on site experience, structured development, and a clear pathway for career growth within commissioning and operations.
Key Responsibilities- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities for mechanical and process systems.
- Assist with reviewing test documentation, procedures, and engineering deliverables.
- Monitor progress and support the preparation of commissioning reports and technical records.
- Collaborate with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure system readiness and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Contribute to system walkdowns, inspections, and test execution under supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including redline drawings and commissioning records.
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Process, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Some prior experience or exposure to commissioning, testing, or industrial plant environments is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Safety focused, proactive, and eager to develop within a large scale, high performance engineering environment.
