Are you a technically adept Data Centre Engineering Specialist with end-to-end commissioning expertise? Join our team as we deliver cutting-edge hyperscale and enterprise-grade data centre infrastructure across Europe.

We're representing one of the largest, fastest growing Data Centre Owner Companies who are looking for an Experienced Commissioning Engineer with a deep technical foundation, capable of managing and executing all phases of Level 3, 4, and 5 commissioning across new-build data centre facilities. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on MEP experience, a strong understanding of integrated systems, and a background in mission-critical environments.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and execute Level 3 to Level 5 commissioning of base building systems:
• - Electrical infrastructure (LV/MV switchgear, UPS, STS, PDUs)
• - Mechanical systems (chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, water-side systems)
• - Life safety and fire protection (VESDA, gas suppression, BMS, EMS)
• - ICT and security systems (structured cabling, CCTV, access control)
• Develop commissioning scripts, procedures, and documentation for full test and validation processes.
• Coordinate with construction, design, and facility teams to ensure all systems are integrated, tested, and operational prior to handover.
• Drive issue resolution and root cause analysis during FAT/SAT testing and integrated systems testing (IST).
• Verify as-built documentation and witness vendor and contractor testing to confirm alignment with operational intent.
• Ensure full compliance with international standards (ASHRAE, Uptime Tier requirements, ISO, etc.).
• Provide technical input into MOPs, SOPs, and ERPs. Support the transition to operations with training and documentation.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 to 5+ years in data centre engineering and full-scope Commissioning.
• Extensive hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems in live or commissioning-stage data centre environments.
• Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure standards and operational risk management.
• Familiar with IST protocols, sequence of operations, and vendor testing standards.
• Ability to lead commissioning activities, review single-line diagrams, and interface with OEMs and contractors.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, or related engineering field (or equivalent experience).

Desirable Skills: Essential or Nice to have

• Certifications in commissioning (CxA, BCxA, ASHRAE, Uptime, etc.) preferred.
• Proficient in interpreting and managing BMS/EPMS systems.
• Familiarity with tools like MS Project, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and cloud-based commissioning platforms.
• Experience in both greenfield and retrofit data centre projects.
