Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking a Commis Waiter to join the pre opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an elegant, Michelin starred dining experience.
Typical Day Tasks- Respond to guest enquiries with courtesy, efficiency, and professional discretion
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of menu items, beverages, and service offerings
- Follow established reporting and escalation procedures with accuracy and timeliness
- Uphold Hilton grooming and presentation standards, including uniform, cleanliness, and personal hygiene
- Handle incoming calls professionally, ensuring messages are recorded accurately and relayed promptly
- Complete all opening, closing, and side duties efficiently and to defined standards
- Maintain all service equipment, crockery, and utensils in immaculate, clean, and polished condition
- Ensure cleaning materials and chemicals are correctly requisitioned, stored, and used
- Maintain spotless, sanitised service and back of house areas throughout and at the conclusion of service
- Replenish service supplies, including tableware, glassware, linen, and condiments, as required
- Comply fully with hotel security procedures, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation
- A positive, eager, and service driven attitude
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills
- A consistent commitment to delivering elevated service standards
- Impeccable grooming and personal presentation
- Flexibility to adapt to varying service rhythms and operational demands
- The ability to perform effectively both independently and as part of a refined, collaborative team
- Previous experience within a luxury or ultra luxury hospitality environment
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware, and fine dining presentation
- Understanding of Food Hygiene and safety regulations
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport items up to 50 lbs. within a dynamic restaurant setting
