Windmill Village Hotel, Golf Club & Spa is a vibrant and dynamic family business situated on the A45 as you leave Coventry towards Birmingham. You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below.

Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Have an operational knowledge of recipes /standards / portion sizes / yields / presentation style of dishes produced within your designated section.
  • Provide a consistently high level of service and product delivery.
  • Participate in the production, preparation and presentation of meals.
  • Work under supervision on all sections of the kitchen as required.
  • Work with high quality fresh produce and organic ingredients as menus dictate.
  • Receive details of the menu requirements and the quantities / portions required from the Head Chef. Liaise with the Sous Chef or Head Chef with any production queries.
  • Ensure that sufficient supplies are available, in order to meet the expected business demands of the shift / session.
  • Ensure that all items produced are according to standard recipes, portion yields and within agreed time limits and minimum wastage.
  • Conduct any special daily or periodic duties (e.g. refrigerator temperature readings).
  • Work at an efficient pace to ensure service levels are maintained at all times.
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen and surrounding food preparation areas, including equipment, work surfaces, according to cleaning schedules.
